What is BIM?

Stem Bury St Edmunds.2 Building Information Modelling, commonly known as BIM is a process for creating and managing information on a construction project across the project life cycle. One of the key parts of this process is the Building Information Model, the digital description of every aspect of the project.

This model draws on information assembled collaboratively and is updated at key stages of a project. Creating a digital Building Information Model enables those who interact with the building to see their actions and inputs which adds huge practical value to the modelling.
