Houghton Regis .

Clearwater were commissioned by Integral Building Services to be their designers for the mechanical, electrical and public health services for the £33m independent living development at Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire undertaken by Vistry Partnerships.

The project is located near Dunstable replaces the retirement facility that is currently located on the existing site. The new development is made up of two phases and consists of 168 one and two bedroom apartments as well as community space, a restaurant, retail and care and re-ablement facilities. There are also a number of office spaced within the project for the facility staff. The project is of traditional construction which has coordination challenges that have been addressed by clearwater through modelling the project within Revit.

Our role on this prestigious project is to produce the stage 4 designs following the receipt of the stage 3 and to take the project through the construction phase including production of working drawings. 

Further to our appointment, Clearwater will also commence a site-based role towards the end of the project to manage the commissioning of the installed building services.
